Meet the Course Designer

Michael Bogart has been a pastor, teacher, course designer and speaker for more than 40 years. He holds a masters degree from Denver Seminary and a doctorate from Liberty University. He has pastored at various levels since 1984, including nearly two decades as senior pastor.

In addition, for more than 30 years Mike has taught in a variety of venues at the college and university level for several institutions. He has served on more than 30 mission trips teaching Christian leaders in developing countries. He was awarded Navy College Teacher of the Year at NAS Lemoore, CA for 2006. He has also enrolled more than 1000 students in his online Udemy preaching course.

Mike hosts the three-part UnDiscovered Bible series filmed on location in Israel. His UnExpected Bible YouTube channel has reached thousands of people with its message of Christian hope.

He is married to Melinda and they have four children three amazing "kids-in-law" and eight grandchildren.

The focus of the Big Picture Bible course is on how the Bible's people and events dovetail with the history and culture of the times. This more comprehensive grasp of the scriptural context allows students deeper personal connection to Bible’s impact on their daily lives.
